Social Media Site Planning

For the social media site for my artist, I will be editing an Instagram account template and just simply adding in the photos that I will be planning to use as promotional pictures in order to market my artist. The photos featured in my site will include snippets of lyrics from my coursework song "You Don't Love Me Anymore" in order to not only tease the song but to also let the audience know what song will be released.

The hyperlink that you can see in the bio section of the account is the link to my music video that will be released on Youtube. I will release my video on this platform as it will make it easier for most people to view it, as Youtube is the main platform for sharing music videos nowadays.

The reason why musicians create social media accounts on platforms like Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) is so that they can share their music to a more global and wider audience (since social media is very popular across the globe thanks to globalization). It will also allow the musician to help market their brand, by sharing intimate and close photos of their everyday lives, and perhaps behind the scenes pictures of any upcoming projects they are apart of. This all leads to the artist have a more of a personal connection to their target audience (fanbase), due to the close connectivity of social media.

The overall color palette that will be featured on my site (and in my coursework in general) will mostly consist of cooler toned colors (black, white and some grey), but will also feature some warm tone shades (brown and maybe dark red). The reason why my color palette mostly consists of cooler tone shades is because I think it perfectly represents the mood and tone of the song, since my coursework song has quite dark lyrics, and I think the cool tone color palette will further emphasize the bleak nature surrounding the song.
