Mood Board

This blog post will talk about my mood board for my music video. It will represent the ideas that I want and will hopefully appear in my video.

I created my mood board on Canva. I decided to create my mood board as Canva already has many mood board templates that users can edit and customize their own separate mood boards.

As you can see from the pictures from my mood board, my music video will depict a toxic relationship between a couple. One of the pictures shown is a man playing guitar to a woman. This is relevant as the song is an acoustic guitar ballad, and the singer Weird Al is directly talking to a partner, who we can assume the song is written about. With the pictures of a couple fighting directly relates to the song lyrics, with the bottom picture of a woman yelling at a guy being very significant as the lyrics talk about how the woman has been abusing the man during the course of the relationship, including putting piranhas in a bathtub and pushing the man down an elevator shaft. I want to represent to subversion of domestic abuse, as we as a society commonly assume that the man is abusing the woman, and not the other way around. This subversion of the stereotype surrounding abusive relationships will help break the stigma that men can also be harmed in these types of relationships, and that women can also harm their partners.
