Back Cover

The image you see above is the back cover of my digipak for my coursework. Both the artist and name and the album track listing are in the Versailles font meanwhile the song title is in the Benedict font. The Versailles font is heavily featured in my video (as it is the font for the beginning and end title cards). The Benedict font is featured for the inside cover of my digipak, where it is used for the song title. I have purposefully done this to ensure cohesiveness is maintained in my coursework. The list of songs that you can see are some of the songs that are featured in "Weird" Al Yankovic's 1992 album "Off the Deep End", where my coursework song "You Don't Love Me Anymore" is a single off the album. I did this as it would help promote the album, and for the audience to know what songs would be on the album. The musical notes that you see at the top symbolize the music and the rhythm of the album. These musical notes are also featured in my video, in the scenes during the musical intermission where my artist is playing the guitar and there are musical notes surrounding him. The guitars located on both the right and left hand corners of the back covers are there to symbolize the fact that the song is a soft acoustic guitar ballad, directly telling the audience what genre the song will be in. The reason why the color background is beige is because I think with a sort of neutral color background would make the text stand out. The color itself also symbolizes simplicity, which is the aesthetic I am going for for my digipak and social media page.

CD Cover

The photo that you see above is the CD cover of my digipak. I created this cover in Canva. How I created it was by picking a CD cover design and to replace it with the default background and to just simply add the text onto it. The song title is in the font Benedict (the same font is the song title on the back cover; this is done to ensure the cohesiveness of my coursework). The same guitars and music notes from the back cover are featured on this CD cover. I chose to put the same guitars and music notes on this CD cover is because it further emphasizes the meanings of both of them. The music notes symbolize the rhythm and the music, meanwhile the guitars emphasize the song's genre: a soft acoustic guitar ballad. The simplicity of this CD cover further adds on the aesthetic of my digipak.

Inside Cover

This is the inside cover of my digipak. You as can see in the picture, musical notes and a guitar are also featured. The symbolism of the guitar and musical notes also applies to the inside cover; music and rhythm and the soft acoustic guitar ballad as the song's genre. The picture of my artist playing the acoustic guitar is an image that is heavily featured in my music video, where there are 2 scenes of my artist playing the guitar to his girlfriend, who has been physically and mentally abusing him over the course of the relationship. This picture also has a beige tint to it, signifying the simplicity of the image, further highlighting the uncomplicated and easy aesthetic of my digipak. This was also done to maintain the cohesiveness of my digipak.

Front Cover

The photo you see above is the front cover of my digipak. It contains the beige color background, that has since become the house color, as it featured on the back cover as well, in order to maintain consistency. The same fonts (Benedict and Versailles) are also featured, in order to present a consistent font. The same guitars and music notes are also featured in order to further emphasize their meanings that I have stated above.
